Struggling to cope with fear and anxiety
Don’t you worry, the pharmaceutical companies,
Are coming to your rescue with a host of drugs
To keep you calm, so you won’t give a fuck,
Xanax and ketamine to help tranquilize
Anti-depressants to chill your mind,
To stop you asking questions or getting to smart
They prefer it when you’re kept in the dark,
Maybe those worries and fears are well founded
Maybe those anxieties are firmly grounded,
In the way that society and life is these days
Instead they fill you full of pills and then send you away,
Without any intention to cure your needs
But in hope and the knowledge that you’ll come back on repeat,
Filling their coffers with all your money
Pharmaceutical companies work on greed and not need,
And they don’t care about the real health of you and me.
