Silence is the realm of the wise

They keep their powder dry,

Speaking only at the right time

Rejecting the chatter in their mind,

Making salient points that hit the mark

Generating an intellectual spark,

Discarding all the background fluff

Focusing on the crucial stuff,

Fools just blabber on and on

Occasionally expressing something

That is vital or has worth,

But that’s more out of luck

Then it is from knowledge,

Fools should not be encouraged

For wisdom is a great gift,

And is a better way to live.
