AI is the future some may say

But it’s likely to stop people using

Their creative and imaginative brain,

They’ll allow AI to take control

But this technology lacks heart and soul,

Now it’s not because I am against progress

I want humanity to discover the best,

Ways in which to advance itself

But there is a history of mistakes that we should confess,

Has plagued human beings and caused a mess

Just for one example look at the internet,

It should have been better and should improve lives

But it ruined many as it’s been abused to proffer lies,

Many of them are hideous, insidious and wrong

There have been advantages but the list is long,

Of comparatives between the pros and the cons,

And when AI is running everything as it could do

The only thing likely is that people will lose,

On the job front and in the arts as well

And the numbers of people not working will swell,

It’s already stated that in the future people won’t work

Well tell me then how will these people earn,

Money to live and pay their bills

It will be fine if you’re rich but it will end badly still,

But if you’re poor then you’ll be likely left to starve and die

There’s a past history of this and that’s no lie,

So be careful what you think is good for mankind

And pay very close attention to the warning signs.
