I believe that some people choose to be blind

To compassion and the ways of being kind,

I don’t know what it is that goes on in their minds

Maybe it’s some trauma that leaves them like this by design,

I think maybe they choose not to see the signs

And they fear looking because they will find,

That I am right they’ve chosen to be blind

And that’s not how they want to be defined,

But maybe they should wake up from this life

Maybe they should start acting in a way that is right,

Because treating people wrong and badly

It makes them look cold and brutal sadly,

It will leave them isolated and very lonely

As those who know them leave them in the end solely,

To escape their negativity and hurtful ways

There is toxicity and hate in everything that they say,

How can anyone who is decent decide to choose to be blind,

To love, compassion and understanding and the positivity in being kind.
