Resistance is futile in a life that’s limited

We won’t live forever so why be depressed,

Getting angry and raging is like shouting into the wind

Nothing will be heard or ever come of it,

Stand up for what you know to be right

But don’t let things ruin or destroy your life,

Because in the end our existence is for only a short while

Share love, share happiness and always try to smile,

There are lessons to be learned but still we won’t survive

But we can leave behind a legacy where we live on in stories,

We can be remembered for achieving real glory,

Of living for as long as we could and for spreading wisdom and good

It’s the only way that we will somehow live forever,

But just remember resistance is futile

But that it is still good to evolve and grow,

But make sure for all the kindness and love that you sow,

Try not to leave a legacy of division, greed and hate

Because a life lived containing those attributes won’t reflect a life of grace.
