Loss of yourself

I see everyone as just a person

All I see is their energy,

I don’t see their colour or gender

This is how everyone should be,

We were born as free spirits

Then we put ourselves into boxes

And then place on it a label,

That’s a kind of self imprisonment

That is hard to break free even if you’re able,

Box yourself into your sexuality

Box yourself into your colour and belief,

Box yourself within your gender

Doing this stops your spirit being free,

Choose to stay an individual that’s unique

Be that single adventuring piece of energy,

Don’t be a part of a cluster

It stops you thinking for yourself independently,

You just repeat what the cluster says

Original thought then becomes dead,

And you go with the flow the cluster dictates

And so you never travel your own path,

You then never discover your own journey

Or realise your own potential or dreams,

You merely become a part of a mass

Barely noticed, heard or even seen,

Why not choose to remain free and on your own

Travelling and adventuring into the unknown.

Why choose to just play it very safe

It’s not like you’re going to survive or escape,

From this experience that we call being human

Why worry about how you may be judged,

When as a single entity you’ve no reason

To not just live with a heart of unconditional love.
