Capitalism has failed us all

Failing to deliver a society that is equal,

It’s been taken over by the super rich

Who controls the reins and exploits it,

To ensure the wealth and profit flows only one way

Which is why poverty will never dissipate,

Because the one percent wants it this way

Forcing us all into working for a low wage,

To ensure they have us under their thumb

And doing nothing about it is dumb,

But I guess after all the decades we’re all numb

Which explains our willingness to accept slavery and serfdom,

Just because it’s the way things have always been done

But believe me when I say it’s finally time for everything to change.
