In life we must own who we are, what we do, and the mistakes we make,

This gives us the authenticity and validation of self

And not everything will be perfect, good or right,

But it is unique and it is the true reflection of who and what we are

And mistakes do not lessen us, for they represent lessons to learn or learnt,

And in this ownership it’s easier to truly know ourselves

Rather than a character created from others beliefs and expectations,

So take ownership of you and how you are, what you do and the mistakes you make

And be proud in knowing that at least you are authentic in a crowd of faux people,

Claiming to be something they are not and who are confused, conflicted and lost

In a life that does not reflect or represent truly and accurately who they are,

Which comes as no surprise when you realise that they don’t know themselves.
