The snake turns and swallows itself from its farthest end as a sign of eternal life,
The dog chases its tail around and round in a mad display for mental stimulation or attention,
So why is it that humans try so hard to fit norms rather than being different,
We have one life and it’s not eternal and we have one chance to have fun so why worry,
How others perceive the symbol of the snake or the actions of the dog, do they care,
If being sentient is the only difference, then maybe sentience is not a gift but a curse
