Convoluted living

Life can be convoluted

And no matter how you try,

Keeping it always on the simple side

Is hard enough to do anytime,

But when the mind gets polluted

With mental health designs,

Things became twisted and what was fine

Start to cause real problems,

And I can see the signs

In those who are affected but they are blind,

To the wrong path that they head down

And I try to help them stay in the line,

Of keeping them from self destruction

And keep them aligned,

With what acceptable and right over time

But it’s an uphill battle and when they are primed,

You just know it will go badly, as so I am resigned

To watching them make the same mistakes,

Time and time again until they get pulled up on it

And have to face the consequences.
