The mourning of activism

The death of rebellion,

As compliance takes over

Trying to fit the social norm,

We are all free when we are born,

So why do we jail ourselves

In this ever changing new dawn,

Of needing to fit into boxes

To define ourselves by labels,

Shedding our unique individuality

For clone type groups that are identical,

Rather than authentic yet variable

For me I really don’t get this at all.
