Kids at play
Have fun each day,
Regardless of difference
With those with whom they play,
There’s no judgement
There’s no division seen,
When does this change
It’s so wrong and obscene,
That such purity can be corrupted
And replaced with hate
And the fun dissipates,
And the innocence vanishes in the mist
Of time and the child will now exist,
And tainted and spoilt
As if polluted and poisoned,
And the playing is replaced
By the anxiety caused by this loss
And that will ferment into anger and violence
That will lead the world into silence,
And the carefree child is replaced
By more confused brutal human tyrants,
Who tries to change society their way
Full of xenophobic, divisive, toxic types that bay,
For a brutal world of war and violent displays,
To prove they are more powerful than
That child who once used to play,
Carefree and joyful with all that came their way.
