Poor man watching the rich go by
He holds out a hand or asks if they got the time,
To purchase them a coffee or something eat
But that’s not the way that the wealthy think,
They think, get up and seize the say because they lack empathy,
They don’t consider the poor persons back history
Because many of the wealthy come from privilege,
And so they just keep walking unlike people who seem average,
Many of us stop and take the time to ask questions
May well even offer up some self help suggestions ,
But many will buy them something to eat and drink,
Because all of them understand that, their for the grace of God goes me,
Each of us can fall through the cracks unexpectedly
And we don’t have the back up of a wealthy family,
Who can catch us when we fall so easily.
