Blood sweat and salt on the seas
Fast forward to the future,
Vessels skim waves with so much ease
The past and the future,
Show how easy things become relatively
But we take so much for granted,
That we never learn appreciation fully
And it’s the same throughout society,
From the Victorian slums to the neon dream
Progress and advancement are always achieved,
But for some reason we don’t seem to maintain humility
And do not apply the same with regards to empathy,
Towards those we share this experience with
As we advance technologically we seem to care far less .
