So a convicted women beater

Gets elected into power,

This darkness grows by the hour

In a defence we’re told it’s Christian to forgive,

And the women who he beat

Then has to live with this,

He kicked her several times

But refuses to admit any of this,

But he was seen doing this by witnesses

Is this the type of person that we want in power,

Adjudicating on laws that he couldn’t keep

Is this the kind of role model good for politics,

The British political system makes me sick,

Yes he served his time but it’s not the point

The violence that he demonstrated he simply won’t,

Own or take responsibility for it because it says it was when he was younger,

Do you think his actions made his victim stronger,

What about the psychological damage that he caused

And now we’re supposed to look up at him and support what he does,

A divisive, violent racist and an MP for Reform

I reject his right to be in power as this could become the norm.
