Are kids as happy as we think
As they shut themselves away from reality,
In the confines of their bedrooms
Apps dominating all their lives,
Corrupted by misinformation
Sold so many ridiculous lies,
Barely able to understand or even recognise,
The fact from the fiction
And what is wrong and what is right,
Living in perpetual illusions
It’s the story of their claustrophobic lived lives,
Hiding away as their parents argue and fight,
Over debt and bills and money
Because we know they struggle to get by,
So kids lose themselves, in social media vibes,
Sinking into non-awareness of who is really ruining our lives,
Those with all the money ruining our lives, while in the shadows they hide.
