In time they go to far

There was so much history

Ancient and distant

Strong powers have been persistent,

Those powers over time crumbled

Falling down like Jericho’s walls,

Then along societies and countries

Without that historical foundations

Figuring they can interfere with other nations,

Never learning lessons of the past

That historical superpowers never last,

And some day we’ll see it come to pass,

That their dominance will fail and pass

Into decline and when it happens it’s fast,

See the Greek, Persian and Roman empires fires

And how they all eventually burnt in history’s pyre.
