Until the next sunset

In the daylight after the storm

Will we be able to continue the norm,

In the harshness of conscious reality

After all we knew and refused to see,

Now that the curtain has been lifted

And we saw what we were not meant to see,

When the curtain lowered as did our heads

Will we set and cry filled with dread,

Until we dwell long enough to greet the next sunset.
