Messed up lives

Trauma and mental health issues

On the rise and that’s the truth,

Fed by the flaws of society

Of trying to be perfect families,

Trying to fit in to a group as individuals

We lose track of who we are

As well as what we truly want to be,

We need to disconnect from material worth

Get back to residing on this earth,

Without the stress of daily life

And trying to live the life of a lie

Pretending everything is fine

Trying to earn the max all of the time,

It just ends up messing with our minds,

And kids get messed up through the internet,

And find it difficult to connect that it’s not real

But it has an addictive kind of appeal,

Of artificial sweetness and light,

But hiding in the background is the darker side of life,

And as a unit, as a family, we become dysfunctional,

But still the sense that something is not quite right,

So my advice to you, is open up your eyes,

And meditate and still the mind and leave the material life behind.
