What’s going on in the world today

So much violence, so much hate,

Too much murder, too much death,

Have we lost sight of our humanity

Somewhere we have lost our dignity,

The killing of so many innocent beings

Young and old vulnerable and defenceless,

For being nothing more than different

By those who are totally insignificant,

Trying to make a name through persecution

Small minded, ignorant, blind and lost,

Yet making those they hate pay the cost,

Loveless and lacking morals and empathy

It’s time we rejected their ideologies,

And replaced it with, love, peace and light

And heal their divides and begin to unite,

As lovers and brethren of spiritual belief

Seeking unity through our own autonomy,

Finding power within our own pure souls

Seizing back our freedom from their control.
