Bring on the days
And we’ll fight the law,
Before going home
And making love some more,
Bring on the dog days
Being chased by ICE,
And we will dance and laugh
While behind their masks,
They’ll sweat in sacrifice
Of those they take orders from,
But during these dog days
That won’t last too long,
We’ll dance and sing our freedom songs,
And we will share love,
And we will share light
And ICE may try, as hard as they might,
To stop us living the life we want
And so the songs and dances will go on,
Then ICE while holding onto their toys
Those comfort guns and pepper sprays
Will be gripped by these proud boys,
Yet no instigating violence will come from us
We’ll be too busy building peace and love,
And we’ll go home to get hot and steamy
And they cry because you and me,
Never gave them a reason to use force
So they made up excuses and violence they brought,
But in the dog days we stood strong,
And then laughed in their faces
We, the people of different indigenous and foreign races,
Under the hot sun in big wide open spaces
Will reclaim our towns and cities from the ICE haters.
