I banish no one

Do we banish those we call strangers

Our neighbours but certainly not our foes,

They never have been a threat to us

Until one day by fanatics we were told,

Though we grew, with children of different colours

And never once saw, when young, an issue with this,

We now are told by strangers of evil and discriminatory intent,

That, to hate them now, but this is mischievousness,

Opined by those who seek power and control

They walk the streets proud and bold,

With very little intellect or empathy,

Just hateful hearts that cause others to bleed

Much rather I’d prefer to cast them aside,

I’d rather show my love and kindness than choose to hide,

My light and sense of inclusiveness equality

From the root of non-exclusivity that promotes mankind’s beauty,

In the ability to care and share with all

Rather than bend the knee to the brutes trying to convert me,

To states of a hateful, and discriminatory backwards thinking ideology

For we are all one and brothers and sisters are we,

And should be existing and thriving together happily.
