The place we once existed in
Of eldritch beauty and simplicity,
Is being replaced by technological machines,
Nobody goes out as the tech brings all to them
But who is the servant and who is benefiting,
And the environment is being lost
Though few visit now, they are afraid to leave home,
And anyway tech provides all that we need,
Beyond there are the dreams within us,
And that in me are beautiful and serene,
Is a nightmarishly disgusting dystopian theme
We are used, we are abused by the masters of technology,
And we’re slowly being made redundant
Slipping into obsolescence and being put out with the trash,
No more so is this the truth, within those who struggle and are not needed
And should be cleansed and should no longer exist,
Unless you’re a vital cog in how the system works
You’re just a spare part that’s not needed and hurts
By those who profit from their technological machines,
The future is a nightmare, so live rooted in dreams,
Or get out and subvert and put a spanner in the works,
And show those who act as masters, how a revolution can really hurt.
