There’s a sickness

Amongst humanity

It’s spreading like a disease,

All this ignorance

And lack of empathy,

We’re sanitised to genocide

That appears on our TV’s,

We excuse paedophiles

As though it’s no big thing,

But only if the perpetrators

Happen to be a part of the elite,

And we think showing love

As a sign of being weak,

We don’t care and we don’t share

With those who do not have enough,

We look down on others

Who is finding life too tough,

And we shun thoughts of equality

Because we prefer material greed,

As we fill our houses and lives

Full of crap that we don’t need,

But in our minds we’re competing

With everyone else in our lives

To be seen as doing better,

What a complete fucking waste of life.
