We need something new
Like a defined way,
Based on love, peace and liberty
As these have been erased,
A new kind of pathway
Leading to greater equality,
And more tolerance
To faith and colour across society,
And a greater appreciation
Of our environmental needs,
Where we no longer exploit it
Or pollute our soul, air and seas,
Where politicians are replaced by visionaries,
Who cares more about the people
Rather than in power and greed,
And we can remake this as our culture
And our spiritual guiding path,
Where we people out of poverty
And make this a society where no one comes last,
Because extreme wealth leads to corruption
And poverty often leads to crime,
So doesn’t it make sense to ensure people lead equal lives,
A utopian dream this is, is what I am told
But what is life if we do not dream,
But I believe where everything goes wrong
Is having any extremes in our society,
Because extremism is the cause of the hatred
That is obvious to all that choose to see.
