Humanity insanity

What happened to humanity

Did it get lost in the insanity.

Women and children in the rubble

Victims of middle eastern troubles

People using it as a battle ground

Bombing and shooting is the only sound

But the dead are lying all around.

Indicative of global political  failure

Middle East is looking for a saviour

But it won’t be be found in religion or politics

It needs to be found in humanity.

We have to rise up and demand a change

As a global community say

We have had enough of all the wars

Especially where oil, greed and religion is the cause.

We have to be the voices of the innocent

Don’t allow anymore incidents

Where atrocities go blindly by

As bombs and chemicals fall from the sky

Put and end to the reasons why people die

And give them back their human rights.

What happened to humanity

Did it get lost in the insanity.

Of a world teetering on the brink

Humanity is readying itself to go extinct

It’s why need to fight back from the edge

And take back control for ourselves

In the name of love, compassion and peace

An ideal as human beings we should all seek.

What happened to humanity

Did it get lost in the insanity.

  1. Although the human individual occasionally shows the capacity and characteristics to do good things, as a whole, the human race has never understood the true meaning of peace.
We believe that true peace can only occur when EVERY PERSON on the planet shines with genuine peace within their hearts – and we don´t mean just loving ones own family or friends – that is easy.
We are ALL responsible for the development on our planet, not just “those in authority” and we can ALL start by attempting to be concious about our actions.
This could be a lifetime journey of discovery.
Although sounding very cruel, perhaps the human race is not suppossed to “live in peace”. Our track-record proves this fact but there is no reason why we cannot attempt to amend such a disgrace.
Best regards from the blog “Gilmours Nice Place”. 🙂

    1. All peace starts with the individual. Maybe we will never turn into a race of peace but I don’t see why not. If I can and you can then surely all can.

      1. True words and I definitely haven´t given up believing that one day such a notion will indeed, happen. However, I´m sometimes somewhat impatient and I do know that I need a few “lifetimes” of coming back to witness such an event. Mr Midnight says that such a day is worth waiting for! 🙂

  2. Yes. Absolutely. Yet, look at the subverted forms of Christianity and the horror of millions of innocent men, women and children persecuted, tortured, burned at the stake in the name of Christ and have perpetuated their religious wars very much the same as Islam in their hate for any other way of believing in god. That is what this all boils down to – using religion for power, wealth and control over the world’s people. The religion of money and power is no different and is quite barbaric…like trickle down economics or promises of a utopia where everything is free. I think we are forgetting that we are still in the early evolution of humanity and it will be many years of near destruction before we are able to end the divisions. However, that will only come when there is an outside threat were all of humanity will be forced to come together to survive.

  4. Yes. Mankind is not yet civilized wholly, and what civilization there is, is but a thin veil hiding the real face of barbarism. Mankind still has a long way to go. If we save the planet, we still do have a chance. It is a stunning poem you have written. Yet, what does one do in the face of unrelenting religious-faced hate by the most barbaric tribes that would take over if allowed and then the real carnage would begin. So, we safe ourselves while so many others die in war.

    1. Ty for your words. They are wise and thoughtful. I do believe however the ‘tribes’ are funded by super powers and can be stopped as quickly as they rose up. If the arms trade ensured they could not get arms, if the government’s stopped funding them, if people exposed those committing crimes and atrocities then they would be halted very quickly. We have to find ways and we have to put a halt to these covert games.

      1. Yes. This is true, and the latest atrocity of great wealth began this insidious hate in Saudi Arabia where I lived for 6 years. Europeans & Americans fed these 14th people – the year there is still in the 15 century of tribal desert people until made wealthy by oil, uneducated, fearful of the fast and loose world around them, of things they did not understand and feared, their way of life completely upended, torn, destroyed by the modern world. This is how they are fighting back, back to the old religion and ways of being, when the male of the species was all powerful in their caravans across the deserts and their beliefs were sacred and Mohamed their God and always honored. To them we are the barbarians.

      2. Absolutely. They want to drag us back to the dark ages. However modern times are quite barbaric and we need to find another way to balance the world and humanity. This can’t occur through violence force and killing. It requires spiritual education teaching love, tolerance, compassion and peace for all and to unite and end the divisions.
