Self immolations

By people of a nation,

Being oppressed

And murdered and killed.

What does it take

To get the world’s attention,

That the Chinese government 

Is trying to instill,

A new race of Chinese Han people in Tibet,

And slowly trying to replace the indigenous there,

It’s just as the Europeans did in the US,

Ethnic and cultural cleansing all the rest

Eliminating anyone who isn’t Chinese,

To justify their claim on the region easily.

Fearful of the Buddhist monks

And the Dalai Lama,

They instigated policies

That meant Tibetan had to run,

Run for safety run for their lives,

Had to run to India just to survive.

And throughout all this injustice

That just is not right,

The world simply stood by so quiet.

It’s time to make a change 

It’s time to make a noise,

It’s time to get some justice for Tibet.

Stand up for Tibet,

Stand up for their rights,

It’s time to start saving the Tibetan way of life.
