Is it bonkers that when Cameron was PM of the UK and he met the Dalai Lama that China demanded an apology as they took offence and Cameron on behalf of the UK did so almost grovelling. Now it would appear that Trump ( and I am in no way a fan) has a telephone conversation with the PM of Taiwan and China once again makes a song and dance and threats suggesting this is how wars start begin to fly. Apparently it is wrong in China’s eyes to talk to the Taiwan Government. When did the world become a place where the Chinese Peoples Republic Government dictated policy or even who other governments can talk too. Is it just me or does China think it is the all powerful force that we all have to bow down too. Just a thought. It reminds me of watching the school bully picking on the smaller kids and pushing around people knowing they wont fight back. Is this the price we pay for putting ourselves financially in China’s pocket.

I was being witty in a lame way, you are taking the piss out of China for being offended. And I agree with you this situation is totally nuts. But China will vigorously defend its interests especially on its front door step. But we don’t have to agree with it, and it’s good when we call them out on it.
Cheers,

Every Government seems to have a problem with every other Government in one way or another. Cameron always was one for giving out snivelling apologies on behalf of the UK (I didn’t vote for him!), just seems everyone wants to find something to be offended at nowadays.
