Have you ever invested so much in helping someone
and then they simply throw it back in your face,
that every thing you do for them was worthless,
because they were playing their own games,
that undermined all you did,
in trying to help them find their feet,
when you see that it was all a sham,
and they were using you and didn’t really give a damn.
Have you ever stood there and thought to yourself,
it was a waste of time and my health,
dealing with the stress and strain,
getting others on their feet again
and then you found out they were lying to you,
to your face and nothing they said was true,
have you ever had that feeling that what these people did,
truly disrespected you and left you feeling so devastated,
left you reeling with anger hard to be placated
but at the same time feeling so let down,
that you just want to cry,
feeling that they let you down,
because everything you did for them, in the end they defied,
everything they said to you was just a brutal lie,
and now there is no more you can do
except dwell on the way that these people used you
and how that hurt.
