Had a drink,

Vodka and coke,

Well two to be precise,

The first drink in 3 years 

and barely anything else in 6years,

Not that drink was ever a problem,

It’s just that I no longer need it.

But going back there tasted good,

But in the morning it was soon rued,

Poisoned my system to ease a little stress,

But waking, my head and thoughts are a mess

Realise to abstinent,

Is to be blessed.

To be free from vice,

Is really nice,

So I think I will go back to that,

Don’t need booze and sex,

To enjoy the crack,

For being a person,

Who is free 

From these temptations,

Are truly  living the dream.
