I am walking round in a daydream

Bright lights ahead of me

Trying to find some meaning

Looking for a little understanding.

I want to leave the darkness behind

All the violence, war, hate and crime

I want to live a life of love and peace

Want to put all that negativity way behind me.

Looking for a little understanding.

I know the path that will take me there

Is a path that I should walk with care

Nobody else can help or lead me

For this path is unique 

And one that’s only known to me.

Yet I know as I get old

This path has a long way to go

Some many lessons to learn on the way

If we are ever to see brighter days

And if we are going to ascend

If we have hopes to transcend

Our longing for enlightenment 

Simply lays in learning the lessons that we

Incurred along the path.
