Her worth on earth

She rode upon his masculine body supine

And used her heavenly feminine body divine,

To create a connection, a twin flame

And a desire to drive him insane,

She rode as hard and with such passion,

A spiritual love that she could not ration,

Felt her heart was about to explode

From the greatest love she had ever known

And as she gasped in exaltation,

Collapsing in exctasy and perspiration,

That she had learnt her total worth

And why she walked this wonderful earth,

Not just to be a vessel to men

But to be equal and make amends

For the gender divide that had lasted to long,

It must be now masculine/ feminine as one from now on.

Then as she rose she kissed his lips

Pressed her head close to his,

And said if we are equal and we are one

Then this love can go on,

But if you feel superior to me

Then speak now

And set me free

For though your love means oh so much

I want to be more than just a good fuck.

  3. The gossamer, flighty imagery for the most of the poem was swiftly brought to earth by that strong ending. If that was intentional, then you have both thematically and structurally made a poignant comment on the nature and needs of a woman: she can be this ethereal, sensual, open-arms creature and in the same breath be a no-nonsense, no-filter, line-in-the-sand sentinel. Kudos.

    1. Women are a mix of angelic poise and motherly love, entwined with the spirit of a warrior goddess powerful and strong. Some can’t find the mix others do.
