I found in life those walk wrong paths of criminality and drugs always blame their past or others. They say ‘oh, I am sorry but you don’t know my past’ or ‘hey others led me astray and caused my problems’. Yet we all have problems, led difficult lives but we managed to make different choices. The reason being that we all understand wrong from right it’s just that they keep choosing wrong. That being the case they have to accept it, own it, take responsibility and accountability for it and learn to make different choices. It is very much an ego driven thing. They damage and impact on their family, loved ones, friends and people around them that it does is often devastating. However they are not to blame for that they say. Then they say ‘fine put the blame on me’ like they doing us a favour. Until people learn to take ownership of their lives and behaviour nothing will ever change and the end result is constant or permanent incarceration of overdoses and death with no thought of others who’s lives grey destroy simply because those others cared enough to be hurt. Guess the blames on them.

I’m getting more and more convinced that the ‘self’ does not exist. Might sound religious, but it’s not. It’s based on scientific results and reason, although a bit of imagination is involved to get the final conclusion. I think it’s a better way to see the world, anyway.

There’s the story of Angulimala (finger garland) mass murderer who went to live with the Buddha. This story reminds me that a person on the edge of criminality and drugs etc., can learn to be aware of his actions and the multi dimensional tipping point can take him to a place where (or she) learns to live with self awareness and eventually experiences a live-changer, but maybe not and just goes on with the awareness of his/her actions, happy with life and knowing what karma is going around, coming around, taking responsibility.

I feel this very deeply. I believe I am the cause of many of my problems. I believe that I must stop hurting myself for this. I believe I can never un right a wrong if I blame myself perpetually. I’m not sure if I’ve wronged anyone further. I believe that it is best for me to accept that today I am alive. If I am alive, I chose the best course. I believe that my parents made poor choices and it is a shame, but I cannot fix everything. I’m not everyone’s fixer. I can only fix myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me feel secure in my heart. My beliefs.
