Oriental dream

A pagoda shone luminescent for all to see,

Lanterns outside

And cherry blossom trees,

Pots holding white lily’s in a row

Lotus’s  grew in a pond created long ago.

Tiled pitched roof in terracotta colour,

Trimmed off with decorations

This is a place for lovers.

Then a dragon bedazzled in colours supreme,

Danced down the road in crazy scene,

With lots of other people dressed up too,

All in different costumes for all to view,

A cacophony of music gongs and drums

Increased the rhythm and the sound of the thrum,

A delightful little moment in an oriental dream,

Never forgotten by the mind

When once seen.
