Can’t take me down

Grasping the edge of the ledge,

Feeling the chasm beckoning below,

An ebony unabating darkness

Pulling at my ankles is if magnetic,

My Sinews stretched

My muscles taught and screaming,

It would be easier no just to let go

But I hang on in there

Hang onto life,

I will not go down without a fight.

Because as I look hard I can still glimpse,

The miniscule shard of light,

That gives me hope ,

And inspires my fight.

One response to “Can’t take me down”

  1. The release, then peaceful calm might feel (not that there is any true “feeling”) pleasant; the lives left behind are not so lucky.
