Setting sail

You will miss me when I am gone

But this something that you won’t admit,

You’re gonna say that you’ll be fine,

That these wounds will heal in time,

And they’ll be nothing I can say

That will make you change your mind,

So I will move on and I will start again

New beginnings start from the tiniest of seeds.

And I will grow so strong

And I will be renewed

So that in the end I won’t remember

Or even think about you.

But you will still miss me when I am gone,

But this was your choice in the end

And you never believed in me,

Or thought I could be this strong.

So goodbye,

Farewell,

You won’t see me again

But I will wish you all the best,

I set my ship to sail away

And I won’t be coming home again

So farewell my former love.

  2. This is nice.
The sentiment is almost most perfect for my dear departed daughter. *sigh*
