Homelessness
A wretched state
no place
to call home
no safe place
for you.

lots of vacant
living spaces
owned by rich
who have vacated
to live in the sun
Homelessness
in our desperation
while the rich
are on permanent vacation
we move in
and we squat
so what!
Homelessness
if you were
where we are
maybe you
would do the same
bypass the system
and the game
all property is theft
we only take what is left
and unused
empty
but now in use.

squatting
a viable solution
to a desperate problem
that no one
does enough about
being homeless
is an abuse
of human rights
everybody deserves
a place to live
a place that is safe
a place that we can call home
so we squat
so what!
