Lost in the past

Dwelling on regret,

Filled with guilt

Unwilling to forget.

Ripped apart, from inside out

Life of woe shattered with doubt.

Forgoing each present moment 

And the joy it can bring,

Stuck in the past,

Stuck by the fear.

Refuse to burn those bridges

You keep going back,

The ability to move on

You seem to lack,

Caught up in the pain 

And the hurt you feel,

Every waking hour 

The truth is revealed,

That your not perfect

Your life is flawed,

Welcome to being human

You have just joined us all,

So rather than dwelling

In the regret and the pain,

Just let go and be reborn again,

In self love, light and self belief.

Then reconnect in the present

Leave the past behind,

In the present moment 

You will find

Beauty and wonderment,

Can be yours in this time,

Once you believe in the future

To which you’ve be blind,
