Healing the past

Wounds won’t heal when we pick at them,

wounds merely fester unless we tend to them,

we have to find a way of healing while learning lessons,

learn from the past but don’t dwell in it

don’t allow yourself to be obsessed by it.

    Wow. This is powerful. I am struggling with letting go of my past. But I know dwelling in it is not the way to go.
