Suckling on greed

Darkness resides where

greed is plentiful,

darkness brings forth

a tide of doom,

in the shadows of lust for greed,

people suckle on the teats

feverishly.

A hoard of people

consumed and corrupted,

devoured by this need for greed,

who crave for as much

as they possibly can,

in the ignorant belief

that there is scarcity,

that there is not enough, to go around

and like that they have never

heard the sound,

that enough is all we need,

because all else simply greed

and that suckling feverishly,

happens as a result of a consumer disease.

To me I will always go for

need over greed,

because money does not impress me.

Whereas caring and sharing does,

and a sense of benevolent love,

so crawl back into your darkness

and suckle,

because I am firm in my belief

and won’t buckle,

go feed on greed feverishly

for this means nothing to me.
