No lessons in love

No one ever told you how to love

There were never any lessons

Yet you do it so much

It’s as natural as breathing

And as vital to life

Yet it’s the one thing they don’t teach you

That’s so strange, right?

It’s like they would rather you didn’t

It just gets in the way

Does not help to get you to conform

To their ways

So they fill your mind with garbage

Division and hate

And hope that will occupy

That one void and space

Where love comes from and resontes

But it’s like a default setting

That you should never let go

For if you do the your life

Will go dark and go cold

And will whither and see you get bitter

When old for it will harden your heart

And destroy your soul.
