He was open to her

He was open to her needing,

He was open to her loving,

He liked to watch her sleeping

Just so he could watch her breathing.

He was open to her,

He was in love with her.

He loved the texture of her skin

Of her, he loved everything,

Loved the scent of her body,

He loved her more than anybody.

But he knew it was wrong

For although the connection was strong,

They both had someone else

So there was guilt at the love he felt.

He was open to her needing,

He was open to her loving,

He liked to watch her sleeping

Just so he could watch her breathing.

He was open to her

He was in love with her,

They both burned as if they twin flames

But as well as love, there was shame

And it could not be denied,

They saw it in each other’s eyes

And hated all the lies.

He was open to her needing,

He was open to her loving,

He liked to watch her sleeping

Just so he could watch her breathing.

He was open to her,

He was in love with her.
