Distant are my hopes and dreams
For a world of love and unity
A world of light and a world of peace
Distant is this reality.
For there are those who do not wish this
Playing games of religion and politics
Dividing us and installing hate
Which in the scheme of things is such a waste
Using all the negative traits like fear and anger
They then can Putin place
The divisions in the way of anthems, flags and borders
To operate us all and so keep my dreams forlorn
Of a united humanity living as one
Showing, sharing, and basking in love.
