I am relieved to finally get a break
A break from the mundane
The working days
And though it won’t be for long
I will make the most of each moment
Yet every free moment that I get
My mind will drift and stray
To those in need
Who live hard lives
And never get a break or holiday.
So I do this filled with appreciation
And small amount of gratitude
And understand that though life is tough
Sometimes light is not far away
And if you scrimp and if you scape
Good times may come your way.
