On a mountain top I sat

I sat alone on the top of a mountain

And close my eyes and meditate

On the expanse rolled out before me

Of the environment and humanity

And I contemplated what life means to me

And I took a close look at my beliefs

I felt contentment and authenticity

I saw everything within synchronicity

So I won’t be told now that I am older

The voice I hear over my shoulder

Is a voice to fear, I know it’s my friend

And I understand that my lifestyle

I have to defend, against those who wish

Me to submit to them, for in the end

You’ve got to love and believe in yourself.
