Worse thing I ever had to do
Was organise my baby’s funeral
Carry her tiny coffin
And watch them bury her.
She died during Labour.
Saw her still form
Just one breath from life.
Witnessed my partner
Disintegrate before my eyes.
Somebody had to stay strong.
That was me
Though the pain still hurts me.
I would have rather she lived
And they buried me.
Sad to say
But this is a true story
Not inspirational
No happy ending
Just life
And death.
