She loved him though it ruined her

But she did not care about that

She saw him as her mission

Someone that She could save

But how can you save someone

Who can’t and won’t save themselves

It ends up detrimental to your own health

But she was stubborn

And full of compassion

And she was full of love

So he took her down with him

Because his was a destructive love

And he didn’t care enough

About himself

So why would he care about her

The only thing that ever mattered

In his life was him.

So understand, though we try,

We can’t save those who won’t be saved

And though we should try,

There comes point

When we have stand back

And just offer support,

Without being dragged down

By their ways,

There is no point in throwing your life away.
