I am not a man that fits any plans,

the way I write is the way my consciousness demands

and if it don’t fit,

I won’t worry one bit,

because it defines exactly who I am.

The intellectual types,

my not like,

my thoughts and ideas

but that’s quite alright

and the literary thinkers

may turn their noses

up to my poems and also my prose

and if it don’t fit,

I won’t worry one bit,

because it defines exactly who I am.

Now some say I lack good education,

that my writing needs serious investigation,

because it’s too simple and lacks the creative,

I need to go on a ton of courses,

because it’s all a bit basic

and they will tell me how to write and think,

then I will end up in sync,

with everybody else

but I don’t wanna be a clone it’s true,

or write and think in the way I am told too,

I wanna be unique,

I wanna be different

and if only a few like what I do that’s fine by me,

at least I can say, they like me on my terms,

that they enjoy my passionate ways,

that they like my words that are on display

and if it don’t fit,

I won’t worry one bit,

because it defines exactly who I am.

I am me,

never wanted to be anything else you see,

I like unique,

That’s OK by me

and if you think you can change me

then maybe you are out of your tree,

because I write exactly what I believe,

using my own take on poetry,

and if it don’t fit,
