Disconcerted we inserted

Attitudes that don’t fit into life

Into our beings devoid of feeling

With no care that it was not right.

Scattering emotions of fear, greed and hate

Around what should have been

A loving, compassionate, tolerant, peaceful place

We contaminate everything we do

And it may cost everything very soon.

Yet there is still love here

And yet there is still light here

And we can still cleanse out these attitudes

We can still rise up and achieve our potential

As a humanity, we can be renewed.

It may take time and a lot of work

And self education

To rid our self of the harmful domestication

Taught to us from birth

Where we were instilled with this poison

But we can still heal ourselves through self belief.
