How is it possible to hate
People that you have never met,
Based simply on colour
Or on sexuality or faith,
How can you possibly believe
They are different from you and me,
Or in fact even individual or unique
People just do it because they are lazy,
Lazy in mind and so generalise
To ignorant to realise,
That we all lead vastly different lives
But people tell themselves lies,
That because they’re not immigrants, Muslims,
Black people or lgbt’s,
Aren’t them, that makes them feel superior.
I wonder how they would feel if the boot
Was in the different foot,
Or if they had to walk a mile in their shoes,
How they would then feel
And how they would then fair
And wonder if then they would expect others to care.
